It has been decided to adopt an international standard procedure for proper evaluation of the work of the officers. For this purpose, the draft Annual Performance Report (APR) form has been finalized instead of the Annual Confidential Report (ACR) of the mandate period. The Ministry of Public Administration will conduct workshops on civil service officials in the United States, Japan, Singapore, Norway, and India this month. At the same time, valuation procedures will be reviewed for the top companies in the country including Unilever, Square. The government will then finalize the APR form to properly evaluate the performance of the bureaucrats.
When asked, Minister of State for Public Administration Farhad Hossain said, “There is no opportunity to evaluate the performance of the officers in the existing annual confidential report.” Therefore, it was decided to introduce APR instead of existing ACR to make the annual performance evaluation system more objective.
