National Library Center is the main institution that plays a role in the development of the publishing industry. However, under the Ministry of Culture, this organization has been running for some time in a slow manner. Some initiatives are relaxing.
The main task is to create a large number of readers in the country, development and sponsorship of private libraries, a supply of books and money in government grants, organizing book fairs in the country, participation in bookshops abroad, seminars and discussion meetings.
Reading books is one of the best ways to get acquainted with the world. It is very easy to know by reading the book, the philosophy of life of different nations, their ideas, their customs and everything. Reading books makes people self-conscious. And many libraries or libraries have been set up to read this book, the National Library is one of the most well-known libraries of the people of Bangladesh. It was established in the 5th.
Location
It is located west of the TCB building, south of Ramna Market, east of Hazrat Golap Shah Mazar. The National Library is under the Sanskrit Ministry.
Building
The National Library building is a 4-storey building. On the 2nd floor, there is a hall and on the other side books and other magazines and research papers are available for sale. It has a research centre and administration centre on the third floor. On the fourth floor is the library.
Books that are available
There are almost all types of books in the National Library. According to the administrative calculation, there are more than 3,000 books. There are many types of books available for children, from beginners to adults, science, history, law, culture, novels, religious books etc.
Books on science
Soil and Human Cultivators – Shaykh Siraj, Animal Farm – George Orwell, Finding Life in Space – Bhubash Roy, People and the Universe – Shishi Kumar Bhattacharya, Higher Social Psychology – Dr Shawkat Ara.
Books on History
Talks of Indigenous Peoples of Bangladesh – Khurshid Alam Sagar, History of the World – Saiful Islam, Ekushey Documents – MR Akter Mukul, Bangabandhu and Bangladesh – Muntasir Mamun, Fault Lines (Stories of 1) – Niaz Zaman.
Novel books
During the time of youth – Mina Farah, Address 1 – Shamsul Alam Said, Nandita – Utpal Hassan, What I found on the way – Md. Anisur Rahman, Padma River – Manik Bandyopadhyay.

Magazines and magazines available
Various types of magazines and magazines can be found here. Daily magazines include – Prakash Prakash, Janakantha, Jugantar, Kal Kantha, Inklab. There are various types of magazines available in English daily magazines – The Independent, The Financial Experience, New Nation. Apart from this, there are some weekly, monthly, quarterly, recreational and science magazines and magazines and some foreign magazines. Magazines such as Time, Economic, New Week etc. are available.
Catalogue system
The catalogue system has not yet been launched in the National Library. However, the authorities are planning to launch the catalogue system.

Open
It is approved by the government and is open to all. There are no rules.
Membership gains
Membership is available in this library. To become a member here, you have to deposit 3 rupees for 3 years. The reader is given 2 cards. With this card, readers can use it for reading and reading books regularly.
Reading arrangements for children
There was no separate provision for children to read. However, children can read books with other readers. Different children’s books are kept here separately for the children. For example – Isha Khan, fairy tales, etc.
Books or magazines taken home
Only those who have earned the membership of a library can book at home. There is no need to pay for it separately. A member can keep a book at home for a maximum of 7 days.
Lifetime membership
There is no provision for a lifetime membership. First, you have to renew after becoming a member.
Chair-table
The library has about 3-5 chairs for reading.
Schedule
It is a government-approved library, so it maintains open-door schedules according to government accounts.
Compensation
If you lose a book after taking it from the library, then you have to buy another copy of the lost book or pay 5% compensation.
Toilet number and location
There are 2 toilets in this library. They are located in the north and west corners of the library. Of the two toilets, 5 are for men and the other for women.
Fire exits and fire extinguishers
There are beautiful fire exits and fire extinguishers. There are 3 fire exits on each floor. Plans have been taken to improve the fire fighting system.
Car parking
There is no separate car parking for library members. However, there are two car parking spaces for the administration.
Air conditioning
This library does not have air conditioning. However, talks have been held with the High Court to control the air conditioner and it will be implemented soon.
