Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) recently said that it will take male candidates from all over the country for the post of sepoys. BGB Deputy Director (Record) Syed Fazle Quader Ahmed said that people were taken to the post twice a year after six months. In these vacant posts, one to two thousand soldiers will be appointed.

Eligibility to Apply
Candidate must have obtained at least GPA-3 in SSC examination and at least GPA-2.5 in HSC examination. Age should be from 18 to 23 years. The height should be 5 feet 6 inches. And the maximum weight should be 49.895 kg. The size of the chest should be from 32 inches to 34 inches. The sight needs 6/6. However, the tribes vary in height, weight, chest size. The candidate must know how to swim.
Application Process
Apply for this post through SMS. You need to go to the message option through Teletalk Prepaid Mobile and send an SMS to 1222 with the required information. The candidate will then receive an SMS containing the PIN number. After receiving the PIN number, the candidate will have to send another SMS to 16222 with his PIN number, mobile number, etc. In this case, the balance of the mobile will have to be 160 Tk.
The candidate will then send a confirmation SMS along with his registration number to his own mobile. After verifying the application, candidates will be informed about the date and place of admission via SMS. At the time of admission, 10 copies of passport size photographs and necessary documents should be brought to the mentioned place. If such papers prove to be false or fake, his application will be immediately rejected.
Selection Process
In the case of candidate selection, a preliminary medical examination will be conducted under the leadership of the Sector Commander of different sectors of the BGB. From here the selected candidates will have to take the written exam. Regarding the written test, BGB Public Relations Officer Muhammad Mohsin Reza said that the written test is usually 100 number one on Bengali, mathematics, English and general knowledge.
The candidates who pass the written test have to take the final medical examination again. Here candidates will be temporarily recruited through various types of examinations. Then they will again be given a final appointment letter through police verification to obtain an accurate investigation report.
Salary & Benefits
A soldier who is finalized will get a salary of 9095 Tk. Besides, after the employment is settled, there will be accommodation, medical facilities, rations, children’s education expenses, 30 percent border allowance, provident fund, etc. On the basis of his qualifications, a soldier can be promoted through various training and tests.
