Masihul started his career in American Express Bank in 1992 after acquiring Masters of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Dhaka University Institute of Business Administration (IBA).

During his 26 year long career, Masihul has worked in Bangladesh and abroad for Standard Chartered Bank, City Bank, IPDC Finance and other major financial institutions and also worked as member of the Assent Faculty of BRAC University.
