Eligibility to apply

As per the notification, the candidates have to pass the minimum secondary school certificate or equivalent examination from a recognized board. The age should be between 18 and 22. In terms of physical qualification, the general and other candidates should have a height of 5 feet 6 inches. The chest size is 32-34 inches, weight is normal and other candidates will need 49.895kg and sight 6/6. Height, weight, and size of the breast are different for small ethnic candidates. However, if there is an incurable disease, the candidate will not be selected in the initial selection. Higher height, the Ansar VDP member listed and the candidate with outstanding achievement in the sports field will be given preference.

Application method

Candidates have to register online. Application forms must be filled out by clicking on the ‘Apply for Battalion Ansar post’ link on the Ansar and Village Defense Forces website www.ansarvdp.gov.bd from Union Digital Center (UDC) or any online-friendly computer. Already online registration has begun.

For the online registration fee, Tk 200 will have to be submitted through Vikas / Rocket / MobiCash, etc. displayed on the application portal, which is payable. Once the registration is completed, the admission card must be printed and stored and displayed at the time of selection.

The method of selection

Candidates must first attend specific centers for preliminary selection or physical examination. The final selected candidates will have to attend Ansar VDP Academy, Safipur, Gazipur for 6 months basic training through written and oral examination. Upon training, the Ansar will be given a daily allowance of Tk 516.66 for flat areas and Tk 533.33 for hilly areas. In addition, two festival allowances will be given at the rate of Tk 1,0000 each year.
